Position Summary

The Senior Researcher, Preclinical role requires a strong technical and/or clinical background and would be enthusiastic to be in the lab providing technical/clinical expertise. This is a fast-paced environment and not a typical preclinical role. This position participates in the planning and executing of high-quality preclinical studies to ensure safety and effectiveness of SNV products. Supports the management and execution of multiple programs, and interfaces with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Medium work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to wear radiation protection clothing for up to 8 hours per day (~20 hours/month).
  • Supports high quality preclinical research product performance evaluations to enable the development of Stryker Neurovascular devices.
  • Independently leads simulated use and/or imaging requests from Preclinical, R&D and Marketing.
  • Applies Stryker Neurovascular Quality principles during preclinical procedures.
  • Executes and supports device performance feedback to development teams.
  • Provides model (animal, bench cadaver) selection feedback to development teams.
  • Supports the development, review and execution of preclinical protocols.
  • Maintains compliance to relevant training. Supports oversight, maintenance, and execution of preclinical projects.
  • Collects, analyzes and summarizes observations from performance studies.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, science or healthcare related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years in the medical device industry supporting technical, or experience in preclinical/scientific research, medical experience, nursing, veterinary specialties, CROs
  • Evidence of technical capabilities and lab operations experience.
