Senior Supervisor/Instructor- An Tuath Nua

Fulltime Permanent

Day services support people in living their lives with a focus on three main pillars; Personal Development, Active Participation and Citizenship. The ethos that underpins the supports we provide is one which enables an individual to choose to learn, participate and be an active citizen with a socially valued role. These pillars were established to encourage a person to meaningfully engage and develop their independence. They also aim to enable an individual to commit to being active in their own decisions and to reach their full potential in living the life of their choosing.

The following are the qualities and qualifications required:

  • A relevant third level qualification is essential.
  • Full Driver’s licence is desirable.
  • Experience working with people who have complex needs and a diagnosis of ASD
  • Person centred in their approach; really listen to what people we support communicate.
  • Community based support experience.
  • Familiarity with relevant policies on day services.
  • Ability to develop and implement person centred programmes.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Confidentiality and a focus on dignity when providing care.
  • Excellent team working skills and the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to co-ordinate timetables, activities and plans based on the needs of the people we support.
