Salary: The 11-point salary scale for the post as of 01/02/2026.
€41,021, €41,898, €43,163, €44,475, €45,837, €47,245, €48,705, €50,217, €51,799, €53,476 €55,252LSIs
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Fulltime Permanent, 39 hour working week
This role will be based in Horizons Training Centres, Day Services and Community Hubs that are located across Cork City & County.
This shift pattern for this role will generally be Monday to Friday however flexibility with will be required in line with service delivery.
As part of this role you will be supporting the people we support, to live a life of their choosing in their day service/ community hub / training centre.

Qualifications, experience required:
- A relevant third level qualification in the area of Health and Social Care is essential.
- Full Driver’s licence is desirable.
- Candidates must have valid work permissions and eligibility to work in Ireland at the time of application.
- A minimum of 1 year experience of working with people who have complex needs/Intellectual Disability is essential.
- Person centred in their approach; really listen to what people we support communicate.
- Community based support experience.
- Familiarity with relevant policies on day services.
- Ability to develop and implement person centred programmes.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Confidentiality and a focus on dignity when providing care.
- Excellent team working skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to co-ordinate timetables, activities and plans based on the needs of the people we support.
