What is the Role:

AIB has the largest Card portfolio in Ireland and our customers expect that their card/s will work anytime, anywhere, anyhow. We are constantly striving to improve technology that underpins our Cards and making life easier for Customers.

We are looking for someone to join our Cards Technology team to work on transforming our Card services to our customers across our Channels. We want someone who can quickly grasp new concepts, their impacts and deliver.

Key accountabilities;

  • Working with experts across varied technology platforms & disciplines to design innovative solutions
  • Responsible for guiding the impacted squads in ensuring the deliveries match the expectation of the design and fulfil the requirements
  • Responsible for working with QA lead/s to ensure the QA Strategy and plan are adequate and robust to prove out & validate the designed solution.
  • Responsible to co-ordinate decision making & problem solving on issues relating to the design and to the delivery of the change
  • Expected to provide cross cards - domain experience & knowledge
  • Expected to act as a conduit to the Technical Card Lead/s and to manage escalations where needed.

What you Will Bring ;

  • At least 5+ years experience in Software delivery with expertise in one of the streams (ie Design, Build , QA)
  • Broad knowledge of the following technology stacks:
    • Mainframe Batch processing / Microservices / Cards Authorisations / Self Service Devices
  • Proven ability to work in an agile environment & skilled in ceremonies and tooling
  • Be a strong and committed team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
