Service Electrician
About the Role:
Join the EPS team as a skilled Electrician based in Ballyhaunis, where you’ll play a key role in supporting essential water and wastewater infrastructure across the Western region. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician who thrives in a hands‑on, technical environment and is motivated by delivering high‑quality work that keeps critical public services running safely and efficiently. As part of a respected service & repair team, you will work on a diverse range of electrical installations, commissioning tasks and maintenance activities, helping ensure the reliable performance of treatment plants and pumping stations.
Key Responsibilities:
- The role will involve the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment in the water and wastewater industry.
- Carrying out routine electrical fault finding and maintenance at water / wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
- Following control panel schematics and trouble shoot control panel faults.
- Install, wire, commission and set up a full range of starters for motors.
- Carryout commissioning checks and verification in line with industry standards
- Issuing of service report sheets and calibration certificates
- Completion of daily reports and H&S forms as required for day to day works in EPS
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Qualified electrician with experience in industrial service & maintenance.
- Electrical Fault finding in general
- Good communication skills
Qualifications:
- RECI or ECSSA certified electrician
- Full clean driving licence essential
