Service Electrician

About the Role:

Join the EPS team as a skilled Electrician based in Ballyhaunis, where you’ll play a key role in supporting essential water and wastewater infrastructure across the Western region. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician who thrives in a hands‑on, technical environment and is motivated by delivering high‑quality work that keeps critical public services running safely and efficiently. As part of a respected service & repair team, you will work on a diverse range of electrical installations, commissioning tasks and maintenance activities, helping ensure the reliable performance of treatment plants and pumping stations.

Key Responsibilities:

• The role will involve the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment in the water and wastewater industry.
• Carrying out routine electrical fault finding and maintenance at water / wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
• Following control panel schematics and trouble shoot control panel faults.
• Install, wire, commission and set up a full range of starters for motors.
• Carryout commissioning checks and verification in line with industry standards
• Issuing of service report sheets and calibration certificates
• Completion of daily reports and H&S forms as required for day to day works in EPS

Key Competencies & Skills:

• Qualified electrician with experience in industrial service & maintenance.
• Electrical Fault finding in general
• Good communication skills

Qualifications:

• RECI or ECSSA certified electrician
• Full clean driving licence essential
