We are now looking for a Support Service Manager based out of our Head Office and Workshop near Portlaoise, Ireland. This is a supervisory role primarily focused on providing technical support to both customers and internal staff. Supervision of the service team and ensuring that their day-to-day duties are being carried out in accordance with company expectations. Ensure that the on-going training and upskilling of the service team is carried out in a timely manner.

In the role you would be:

  • Answering and responding to technical inquiries, calls, emails, from customers and colleagues.

  • Providing on-site or remote technical assistance to customers and service technicians on product features, specifications, work and repairs procedures, and troubleshooting.

  • Diagnosing technological and mechanical issues with Ponsse Harvesters and Forwarders.

  • Providing the service technicians with the solution prior to visiting the customer’s machine.

  • Coordinating all training for the service team.

  • Supporting our customer base with technical and warranty matters.

  • Handling technical issues in a timely and professional manner to maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Coordinating with internal teams such as parts and logistics, accounting and administration.

  • Manage both internal and customer training and demonstrations on new product launches, updates, and technical advancements to ensure product knowledge.

  • Ensure warranty claims are processed in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

  • Participating in customer meetings and seminars when required.

  • Keep up to date with the latest technical developments and attend Ponsse PLC and any additional training when required.

  • Ensure machine PDI and delivery to the customer is carried out to company standards.

  • Coordinate delivery and collection of machines when required.
