The primary purpose of the Service Operations Support role is to work in the Operations Centre providing support for our IT Services. The scope of the role will include batch scheduling & monitoring, service monitoring, event detection and notification, tier 1 troubleshooting & support tasks, incident management, backup & recovery, reporting. This position involves working shift hours.

Responsibilities:

The Service Operations Support role will primarily focus on the run and optimization part of the IT service management lifecycle. The role will ensure that the monitoring of the platform, supporting services and transactional throughput of our customers transactions. Developing a cohesive relationship between technology and the business unit will be key to ensuring that services are operated effectively and meet the needs of the business. The role will involve:

  • Manage the batch schedule through to completion
  • Ensure that all requests are processed in a timely manner without affecting online service
  • Manage the resolution and escalation of alerts from the monitoring tools
  • Provide first level support if an issue arises during shift
  • Produce client correspondence output across the group
  • Maintain and supporting our change control procedures to ensure that quality changes are implemented with efficiency and ease

Requirements:

IT Service Management experience including:

  • Incident and Problem Management
  • Request Fulfilment
  • IT Change and Release
  • Service Acceptance
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience in drafting documents and business communications.
  • Continual Service Improvement using IT Service measurement including process analysis and improvement
  • Knowledge of Windows & Linux Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of Collaboration & Productivity tools - Office and Exchange.
  • 2+ years experience

This is a Permanent role based in Cork (Onsite).
