Role Profile Tirlán is offering a unique opportunity for the right person to join our production team as temporary Shift Manager at our Wexford site. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be required to work on either day, evening or night shift, depending on operational requirements.

Responsibilities • Lead, manage and develop a team of Shift Operators • Schedule plant activities to obtain maximum throughput in accordance with overall Tirlán plan to meet customer requirements. • Ensuring quality standards are achieved in order to meet customer requirements. • Work closely with cheese management team to identify and implement process improvements to maximise levels of efficiency. • Maintain highest hygiene standards in accordance with Company policy. • Manage health, safety and loss control in their area of responsibility in order to comply with Tirlán Risk Management Standard requirements. • Work with MES to maximise performance. • Proactively communicate with operators through informal discussions and team briefs to ensure a two way flow of relevant, timely information. • Manage the staff roster by reviewing production requirements and tracking holidays / absenteeism to ensure adequate resourcing of plant. • Highlight performance and training issues as appropriate to maximise the performance of all staff. • Manage employee relations issues locally and escalate as appropriate. • Provide feedback on KPI performance through regular communication. • Undertake all other duties as required by manager / business to meet production and customer requirements.

Requirements • Relevant third level qualification in Engineering, Food Science or related discipline • A minimum of two years previous experience in a management position within a similar production environment. • Commercial acumen and focused on delivering customer centric solutions • Drives collaboration and builds partnerships to meet shared objectives • Communicates clearly and can influence at all levels • Demonstrates a thirst for knowledge with a desire to continually learn and grow • Analytically minded with the ability to develop creative insights and execute change
