SHO In Dermatology - July

SIVUH is seeking applications for the post of SHO in Dermatology (Intern Lecturer) commencing 14th July 2025 x 6 months.

IMC Registration is Essential for appointment to the post.

Previous clinical Dermatology and teaching experience is desirable.

Candidates will be expected to work as Dermatology SHO under the direction of Dr JF Bourke, Consultant Dermatologist and Intern Director, Network South.

Responsibilities will include clinical duties in the South-South West Hospital group and teaching duties as intern lecturer to the Interns of the South Intern Network.

We have a total designated bed complement of 180 beds and cater for up to 39000 admissions and 71,000 outpatient attendances each year; we employ approx 1000 healthcare workers.

SIVUH is the regional center for ENT, Dermatology, Elective Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology (In patient & Day Cases) & Chronic Pain services and provides a significant role in the provision of Oncology, General Surgery, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Elective Gynaecology, Radiology and Anesthesiology services.

SIVUH is a teaching hospital and affiliated with the Medical, Nursing and Health & Social Care Professional disciplines in University College Cork and has developed key relationships in terms of training with many other educational sites both nationally and locally.
