We are looking for an experienced and community-driven Community Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our Community Centres. This role is key to ensuring the Centre are welcoming, well-managed, and meet the needs of our diverse local communities.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for the Centre
- Manage daily operations, staff, and community activities
- Report to the Board on strategy, finances, and governance
- Develop business and marketing plans to increase engagement
- Build strong relationships with local groups, schools, and stakeholders
- Oversee health and safety, including emergency procedures
- Welcome customers, respond to enquiries, and manage bookings
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and funding applications
- Support the coffee shop as a social enterprise
- Recruit, train, and manage staff performance
- Maintain building and equipment through planned maintenance
- Participate in local networks and community projects
- Ensure policies, procedures, and health and safety standards are followed
- 2+ years in a management role
- Strong financial and budget management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work with a diverse community
- IT skills and the ability to use digital tools
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plus
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Approachable, solution-focused, and calm under pressure
- Honest, reliable, and flexible.
