daa Asset Management forms part of the wider Infrastructure function at Dublin Airport.
Asset Management at daa focuses on maintaining and optimizing the performance of critical infrastructure and facilities across our airports. This includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that keep operations running smoothly and safely. Our team ensures that every asset is maintained to the highest standards, supporting millions of passengers and complex airport operations every year.
Responsibilities
Please note that all Trades positions are shift-based, as the airport operates 24/7. Each team follows its own specific shift pattern and roster, which typically includes 12-hour shifts covering nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across airport facilities.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Ownership of the performance and uptime of the engineering systems & equipment assigned to the individual & team by delivering a comprehensive planned maintenance regime.
• Reactive maintenance and repairs on all assets within the Asset Management remit as directed by the Team Lead.
• Maintain a clean & healthy work environment in all asset areas (cleaning, vacuuming, removal of waste, used lamps, filters etc.).
• Produce and maintain comprehensive, timely, records and documentation to support asset performance metrics and ensure equipment/system availability targets are achieved.
• Demonstrate clear, concise and prompt communication skills on system issues both within Asset Management and when liaising with other internal/external stakeholders
• Utilisation of systems and technologies to enhance performance and record keeping.
• Use of CMMS for the generation and recording of all planned, reactive, and arising corrective works to include recording of timecards, escalations and full completion of appropriate workflows, to improve the performance of the system’s reliability and internal processes.
• Safely & competently operate engineering related equipment as required.
• Promote, report on and participate in a positive H&S culture, across initiatives, audits, incident reporting and safety checks and actively challenge those who would negatively impact on H&S and quality standards.
• Provide support and participate in all continuous improvement projects and trials on behalf of asset management.
• Support Asset Management teams as required to familiarise, develop and upskill team competencies.
• Attend toolbox talks and safe work procedure briefings.
• Participate in completion, development & review of standards, documentation, reporting and work methods across Asset Management.
• Support continued compliance with Dublin Airport Asset Management Standards, e.g. ISO55001/50001/45001 etc.
Qualifications
Essential:
Hold a Relevant and recognized Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Electrical, or Plumbing as per National Craft Certificate / Standards Based Apprenticeship.
Desirable:
Possess a good understanding of electrical/mechanic/plumbing systems design, operations, and maintenance.
Experience in highly regulated or safety-critical environments is advantageous.
- Demonstrable understanding of the building services operations & associated systems. (Mech/Elec, Life safety, HVAC, Security, Public Health Systems, Passenger sensitive equipment and Architecture)
- Excellent practical demonstrable fault finding and trouble-shooting capability
Proficient in IT skills for maintenance recording systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in maintenance within large-scale facilities or industrial environments.
Proficient in the use of a computerised maintenance system.
Ideally experienced in, PLC and LV control systems, and SCADA systems.
- Strong concern for the health and safety of self and others with the ability to work safely and effectively under pressure without complacency and in line with H & S policy and risk assessments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and Asset Management Team and wider stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication and judgement so that operational issues are addressed in a professional manner.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills accepting ownership for delivery and accountability for results.

Hold and maintain a full, clean driving license.
