The Intellectual Disability Service in Sligo Leitrim

Sligo/Leitrim Disability Services provides a wide range of health and personal social services to adults with disabilities. Services delivered through the model of health and social care include the following:

· Residential Placements

· Community Placements

· Day Services

The aim of the services for people with intellectual disability is to promote and maintain better health and wellbeing.

Reporting Relationship

The post holder will:

· Report to Divisional Nurse Manager as relevant to the post / as appropriate.

· Be accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing.

Purpose of the Post

To provide professional / clinical leadership in the designated area(s) of responsibility. To oversee the management of resources including staffing and staff development. To facilitate communication across the healthcare teams.
