Location of Posts

Sligo/Leitrim Disability Services operates a model of community living and we currently have over 55 community group homes in areas throughout Sligo and Leitrim. This is expected to increase in line with the National Policy for Decongregation and Community Integration.

In addition to adult residential, Disability Services operates a preschool for children with disabilities within this area.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Preschool Educator (Intellectual Disability Service) Sligo/Leitrim from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Sligo/Leitrim Disability Services provides a wide range of health and personal social services to adults with disabilities. Services delivered through the model of health and social care include the following:

· Residential placements

· Day Services

· Respite bed nights

Purpose of the Post

• Support children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development in a preschool setting
• To Provide person centred support for children with identified additional needs in a preschool setting
