There is currently one specific purpose whole-time vacancy available. The post holder will be based at the offices of HSE Disability Services Sligo/ Leitrim located at Cloonamahon Campus, Collooney, Co. Sligo.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for HSE Disability Services, Sligo/ Leitrim from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Details of Service
HSE Disability Services Sligo/Leitrim provides a wide range of health and personal social services to adults with disabilities. Services delivered through the model of health and social care include the following:
· Residential Placements
· Community Placements
· Day Services
The aim of the services for people with intellectual disability is to promote and maintain better health and wellbeing.
Reporting Relationship
The post holder will report to:
· The Nurse Practice Development Coordinator, HSE Disability Services Sligo/ Leitrim
· Director of Nursing in relevant site
Key Working Relationships
The key working relationship of the post is Student Nurses, Nursing & Management Team, Nurse Practice Development Coordinators, CPC’s, collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team and any other external education establishments e.g. ATU St Angelas.
The SALO also has a key working relationship with all external sites who are providing practice placements to students
Purpose of the Post
The Student Allocations Liaison Officer coordinates the placement of students for clinical learning. The purpose of the post is to establish, organise and co-ordinate multiple core and specialists clinical placements for undergraduate and Internship nursing students thereby ensuring they meet the requirements and standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and the curriculum of the BSc Intellectual Disability Nursing Programme.
