The St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) Physics Service for delivery of radiation oncology services in Dublin is delivered by a network model. At present the post is located in St Luke’s Hospital Rathgar but the post holder may can be expected to attend the SLRON facility on the campus of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin or the SLRON facility on the site of St. James’s Hospital, Dublin. Location of post will be determined based on workforce priorities.
This Principal Physicist (Nuclear Medicine) appointment is a whole-time, permanent and pensionable position.
The details of service include but are not limited to providing medical physics services to support the delivery of high quality therapeutic and diagnostic ionising radiation services to cancer patients as well as assuming primary responsibility for the Physics aspects of nuclear medicine, diagnostic imaging and radiation protection services provided by the Physics department
