Details of Service

Posts will be located for Older People Services in Sligo Leitrim south Donegal Area.

The Units are St Johns Community Hospital Sligo, St Patricks Community Hospital Balllyshannon Community Hospital. Carrick on Shannon, Ballinamore Nursing Unit, Arus Carolan Mohill.

Reporting Relationship

The post holder will report to the Chef Grade 1and / or the Catering Officer or designated Supervisor

Purpose of the Post

The purpose of the post is

· to prepare and serve freshly cooked meals for all service users & staff of the service at the required times in accordance with policy and statutory standards

· To work as part of a team to ensure patient/clients food is prepared, cooked and plated on time in accordance with dietary requirements and in line with Nutrition and Hydration Guidelines and food safety protocols (HACCP).

· To be Flexible to maintain the service we provide

· The post will be working as part of a team reporting to and supporting the Chef Grade I and will deputise in the absence of the Chef Grade 1
