A vacancy now exists for a Social Care Leader- Person in Charge - Full Time permanent contract, in a community residential service for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism based in Churchtown, D14. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a skilled and responsive staff team to deliver a high-quality service for six people. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and families. The key task is to provide person centred supports to individuals who have changing age related needs.

Essential Criteria for Applicants

• Have at least 5 years’ experience working in the area of intellectual disability within a community setting

· Have experience and understanding of HIQA regulations

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role in the area of health or social care.
• Experience of managing a staff team and developing the team to ensure that they have the necessary skills and motivation to deliver to the highest of standards.
• Have a strong commitment to the empowerment of the service users and their families

· Excellent facilitation, leadership and communication skills

· Excellent report writing

· Highly organised, motivated, flexible and ability to problem solve

Desirable Criteria for Applicants

· Must have a full, clean driver licence and willing to drive as part of duties.

Applicants must have one of the following qualifications:

· QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) - Open Training College

· Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland.

And A relevant health or social care management qualification

Salary Scale:

Successful candidate will be paid in line with March 2025 HSE revised consolidated Social Care Leader pay scales (point 1: €55,793- point 7: €65,155 per annum- (This HSE salary scale is based on Full Time working a 39-hour week)
