St. Michael’s House is committed to providing individualised supports to people so that they can enjoy experiences, opportunities, and lifestyles like their peers.

St. Michael's House is currently recruiting for a Social Care Leader based in Adare Green Local centre. (Coolock area). Adare Green supports 6 service users. Candidates require experience of leading a staff team in providing a high-quality person-centred Day Service based on the interim standards set out in New Directions. The Social Care Leader will typically work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. The primary aim is to provide interventions necessary to address any issues preventing the people who attend our services from living their best life.

Essential Criteria:

  • Be knowledgeable of Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HSE, (2015) Interim Standards for New Directions.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role in the area of health or social care.
  • Have experience in the area of intellectual disability, autism, complex health needs, positive behaviour support, advocacy and social inclusion.
  • A working knowledge of Safeguarding Policy.
  • Possess a strong commitment to the provision of a quality person centred day service.
  • Be committed to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Hold a current full clean Driving Licence.

Essential Qualifications Required:

  • QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) - Open Training College;
  • Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland;
  • A qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award
  • And/or be in the process of being CORU registered or fully registered as a Social Care Worker

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated March 2025 Social Care Leader HSE pay scale point 1; €56,351 – point 7; €65,807 per annum based on working a 39-hour week

Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
