SOCIAL CARE WORKER

ST LOUISE’S CENTRE RESIDENTIAL HOUSES, DUBLIN 20

&

ST. LOUISE’S CENTRE COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL HOUSES, DUBLIN 07 & 15

Permanent Full-Time (39 Hours), Permanent Part-Time (19.5) and Relief Social Care Worker Opportunities Available

Salary:€41,260 – 57,789* (LSI)

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

Essential:

  • QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or an equivalent qualification recognised by CORU for registration as a Social Care Worker.
  • CORU recognised Social Care Qualification – list of which can be found at this link: https://coru.ie/health-and-social-care-professionals/education/approved-qualifications/social-care-workers/
  • Current CORU registration or evidence of eligibility and active registration application
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Full clean Irish driving licence & willingness to drive service vehicles.
  • Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting individuals who may present with behaviours of concern
  • Knowledge of person-centred planning and active support approaches.
  • Experience supporting individuals to develop independent living skills.
  • Understanding of HIQA standards and safeguarding practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
