Social Media Assistant
Job Scope:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Marketing Team at Intersport Elverys during a period of sustained growth. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Social Media Assistant to support the planning, scheduling, and delivery of our social and digital content across our key brand, partner and athlete activations.
This role focuses on supporting the organisation, co-ordination and analysis of social activity and creative output. You will help ensure our social channels operate smoothly, our campaigns are well-planned, and our teams have the information and assets they need to deliver best-in-class work.
You will also assist on paid social activity and carry out ongoing research to assist on strategy and future planning. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider marketing team to support cross-channel campaigns and ensure social and content activity aligns with broader marketing objectives, while also assisting with the execution of social content with exciting brands, our athlete partnerships and key sporting events.
Key tasks for this role:
Planning & scheduling the social media content calendar across all channels.
Assist with forward planning for campaigns, brand moments, product launches, seasonal peaks with our key brands, partners and athletes.
Co-ordination & workflow management across the wider marketing function and cross category campaigns.
Co-ordinate with internal teams including creative, e-commerce, retail operations, and brand partnerships.
Support briefing processes and content requests by gathering information, assets, campaign copy and specifications.
Organise campaign documentation, ensuring smooth workflows and efficient communication.
Support the Social Media Manager on paid social campaigns and in collaboration with the performance agency in delivering paid social campaigns.
Analysis & report campaign performance and flag optimisation opportunities.
Compile weekly and monthly reports with key metrics, learnings, and recommendations.
Conduct ongoing research into industry trends, audience behaviour, competitors, and new platform features.
Assist with content creation such as simple photography, short-form clips, or behind-the-scenes social content when required.
Ensure all assets meet approvals & deadlines, platform specifications, campaign requirements and brand guidelines.
About You
At least 1 years’ experience working with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines.
Familiarity with paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) is an advantage.
Experience with social content creation and creative processes, with a willingness to learn and support content execution across campaigns.
Strong research and analytical skills with an interest in identifying digital and social trends.
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Full Driver’s licence.
Fluent English.
Experience working with large product catalogues or in retail/sports is a plus.
Passionate about fitness, sports, and or fashion.
