Job Background:
We are seeking an innovative, solution-focused, qualified social worker to provide leadership and operational management within the Social Work Services Directorate. The Senior Practitioner will supervise and monitor staff performance, contribute to professional development, and support future service delivery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership within the Social Work Services Directorate.
- Manage contractual obligations with Health and Social Care Trusts and external stakeholders.
- Recruit, train, and supervise both new and existing staff members.
- Develop and deliver promotional initiatives to raise awareness of Bryson Care Services across Northern Ireland.
- Prepare reports for the Assistant Director as required.
- Engage directly with individuals, families, and communities, managing a complex caseload.
- A professional social work qualification is essential for this post with a minimum of two years’ experience post the Assessed Year in Employment (AYE).
- The post holder will be required to evidence their continuous professional development through the PIP framework as outlined by the NI Social Care Council.
- To be registered with the NI Social Care Council upon commencing post.
- Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with government bodies, commissioners, industry partners and key external / internal stakeholders.
- To have successfully completed one of the PiP Approved Programmes on the Professional in Practice Framework including the Northern Ireland Practice Teaching Programme, the Adult Safeguarding Programme or Social Work and Community Development Approaches.
