Social Work Team Leader
The Children and Young People’s Service within Avista provide interdisciplinary team supports, residential, family support and education services to 0–18-year-old Children and Young People with complex needs and their families. Avista have various opportunities across our 3 Children’s Disability Network Teams: Cabra/Grangegorman, Blanchardstown and Blakestown. A successful candidate would be required to work as part of an Interdisciplinary Team that provide services to 0–18-year-old children and young persons with complex needs. The candidates are also required to work in partnership with families within a family centred model. Avista has 3 Children and Young People Disability Network Teams, and the candidate may be required to work across any these 3 teams if and when the need arises.

Salary: €71,690- €82,693
*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

This post is being recruited for the Children’s Disability Network Team: Blakestown. The successful candidate is required to work as part of an Interdisciplinary Team that provide services to 0–18-year-old children and young persons with complex needs. The candidates are also required to work in partnership with families within a family centred model. Avista has 3 Children and Young People Disability Network Teams, and the candidate may be required to work across any these 3 teams if and when the need arises.
Essential:
· A NQSW or equivalent
· 3 years post qualification experience
· Be registered with the Social Workers Professional Register (CORU) and have an active CPD Portfolio
· Permit to work in Republic of Ireland
· Proficiency in the English language.
· Full clean driving licence and use of a car
· Have experience of working with children with complex needs and their families and/or experience in working within children and family services in the community
· Have experience of working in services which operate and comply with child protection procedures in line with Children First National Guidelines
· Experience in supervising, mentoring and supporting staff
Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework
