We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Worker (Professionally Qualified) to join our team in CHO 7 Tymon.

Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Scale: €48,360 to €70,563 pro rata per annum.

Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service

Overview of the Post:

To provide a quality, evidence based social work service to children and young people aged 0 – 18 years and their families within an interdisciplinary and family centred practice framework. The post holder will be required to support other staff and students as assigned.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

a. Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date of the competition:

i. Must be registered in the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU

And

ii. Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU

And

iii. Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office

iv. Be eligible to work in the state

Desirable Criteria:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s post qualification experience.
  • Experience of Inter-disciplinary team working.
  • Some years’ experience of working in the disability sector.
  • Recent, relevant experience working with children and their families.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
