There is currently 1 whole time, permanent position available in Waterford Disability Services (Adults), Confederation House Block C&D, Waterford Business Park.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Social Worker, Team Leader for Disability Services SECH-CHO5 from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

The purpose of the post is to manage the provision of a social work service within a multidisciplinary context and in so doing, ensuring a person-centred service to individuals and families underpinned by current ethics, legislation and disability social care philosophies. The Social Work Team Leader will manage a social work caseload which will include a higher complexity of need and which requires high levels of experience and expertise. They will complete social work assessments and interventions as clinically indicated and will support the professional development and supervision of Professionally Qualified Social Workers as required.
