Wilson Nesbitt is seeking to recruit a newly or recently qualified Solicitor to work in our private client wealth team. The team is led by two experienced senior STEP qualified practitioners; both the team leader and the team are ranked by Chambers and Legal500. This is unique opportunity to join a market leading team at an early point in its expansion programme. The salary will be commensurate with the expectations of a 2026 qualified or recently qualified solicitor. The post is based in our Bangor office but will likely involve work in our Belfast office one or two days a week. The role provides an opportunity to develop essential experience and skills to move along an established career path within the firm.

Responsibilities
- Client Advisory: Managing and taking direct instructions from individuals, families and trustees
- Will Writing & Estate Planning: Drafting bespoke Wills, establishing lifetime trusts, and advising on asset protection strategies.
- Tax Planning: Advising clients on capital taxes, specifically targeting Inheritance Tax (IHT) mitigation, Capital Gains Tax (CGT) implications
- Estate Administration: Handling the end-to-end administration estates,
- Capacity & Mental Health Law: Advising on mental capacity issues, including Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPoAs) and Controllership Orders.
- Business Development: Actively participating in firm marketing initiatives, networking events, and building strong intermediary relationships to generate new instructions.
- Risk management: supervisory responsibilities in respect of the work of legal executives.
- Technical Excellence: An interest in succession law, trust law and tax
- Drafting Precision: attention to detail when drafting Wills, Trust Deeds, Variations, EPoAs, and OCP applications.
- Communication & Empathy: Ability to communicate complex legal and tax concepts in a clear language.
- Commercial Acumen: Organisational skills with strong time-management skills.
- Collaborative Mindset: A proactive team player who can work alongside the partner, tax director, associate and legal executives.
