We are seeking to recruit a Sourcing Specialist to join the Sourcing & Procurement Function. This role is best suited to a candidate with a proven track record in either strategic sourcing or IT asset management. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in strategic sourcing in a dynamic and growing team supporting PTSB¿s Digital Transformation journey.
Your primary function will be leading negotiations for new business and renewal agreements with top Digital and IT suppliers. You should also continually seek to improve work practices relating to procurement and operational processes including: procure to pay, lean operations; supplier relationship management and 3rd party risk mitigation activity.
Responsibilities:
Functional Strategy & Delivery
- Execution of a portfolio of sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations in line with business strategies and target savings
- Manage end¿to¿end RFx processes, lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing, service levels, and contractual terms.
- Partner closely with Legal, Finance, and IT stakeholders to finalize contracts and agreements.
- Supporting the Digital & IT Strategic Sourcing manager in strategy development & budget planning with business partners across Software, Hardware and Cloud Services subcategories
- Provide data analysis, insight and recommendations to enable business partners and colleagues to make informed decisions on third party spend and contracting
- Perform detailed market research and benchmarking to identify qualified suppliers and emerging technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the point of contact for IT stakeholders to understand demand, gather requirements, and provide sourcing expertise.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external partners & lead regular stakeholders meetings to align and update on progress
Risk Management & Control
- Ensure procurement activities are managed in accordance with the banks policies and procedures
- Adhere to bank¿s strategic wider compliance and governance frameworks, policies, processes and standards
- Contribution of continuous improvement ideas to Sourcing & Procurement working practices and procedures
- Use relevant and available tools and other resources to ensure effective and efficient working practices (e.g. Spend Analytics tool)
Requirements:
- 4 + years¿ experience in IT Asset Management or Strategic Sourcing ideally in IT & Technology categories.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models, cloud cost structures, and IT service delivery
- Experience in vendor selection & on boarding processes, in particular RFP, tendering and contracting
- Management of supplier evaluation and vendor programs.
- Stakeholder management experience both internal and external to the organisation
This is a permanent role based in Dublin (Hybrid).
