Job Description: Speech and Language Therapist (Children with Additional Needs)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to provide assessment and intervention services to children aged 2 to 18 years. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities.

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (Basic Grade)

Location: Clare Crusaders Children’s Clinic, Barefield, Ennis, Co. Clare

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised and validated University Degree or Masters in Speech and Language Therapy, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Full CORU registration.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • A full, clean driving licence is required.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Speech and Language Therapy services, including assessments and interventions, to all children accessing our services. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with children and their families in clinical and school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery & Initiative: Provide high-quality, tailored speech and language therapy to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Planning and Organizing Activities & Resources: Plan and manage therapy sessions and resources effectively.
  • Professional Development & Standards: Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain service standards.
  • Integrity & Decision Making: Make informed, ethical decisions in line with best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to children and families.

Terms & Conditions:

Reporting to: Clinic Manager

Probationary Period: 6 months

Garda/Police Clearance: As part of our safeguarding policy for children and vulnerable adults, all prospective staff and volunteers must complete Garda and/or police clearance prior to commencing employment.
