Speech And Language Therapist, Stroke Unit

The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will work as part of growing Acute SLT Team and Multidisciplinary Stroke team at St Lukes General Hospital, Kilkenny, delivering care for communication and swallowing difficulties to adults within these services.

· To be responsible for the provision of a high quality Speech & Language Therapist service in accordance with standards of professional practice

· To work collaboratively with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation

· To report to and collaborate with the Speech & Language Therapist Manager to

· ensure the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred

· speech & language therapy service for patients of St Lukes General Hospital,

· Kilkenny, and communication as appropriate across and between networks in the geographical area

· To carry out clinical educational duties and clinical audit duties as pertinent to the role as directed by the Speech & Language Therapist Manager and Senior Hospital Management of Wexford General Hospital.
