Speech & Language Therapist, Senior

Description of Post:

The SLT Senior will be assigned to deliver a quality speech and language therapy service to their assigned care group. This may involve working within an MDT/interdisciplinary setting delivering a coordinated and integrated service within the assigned care group. A high level of clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role in the designated clinical areas chosen. The Clinical Areas are:

Care Group Area 1:Over 18 Adult: Adult Acquired, Older Persons. Covering Community & Acute Services. FEDs mandatory

Purpose of the Post:

To be responsible for the provision of a high quality Speech and Language Therapist service in accordance with standards of professional practice.

To work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation.

To work with the Speech and Language Therapist Manager in ensuring the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred Speech & Language Therapist service across and between networks in the geographical area.

Location of Post/Vacancy:

There is currently 1 permanent whole-time vacancy available in Thomastown Residential Care Centre, Kilkenny.

A panel will not be formed as a result of this campaign for Speech & Language Therapist, Senior. This campaign is to fill the above vacancy only.
