The Opportunity
The role is a key member of the Accounting & Controls Team, responsible for the production of accurate financial and management accounts for all of the EMEA legal entities. This role supports the EMEA Financial Controller and collaborates closely between the EMEA Finance & Commercial teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated and highly organized.
Responsibilities
- Support the EMEA Financial Controller in maintaining the integrity of financial ledgers and accounting processes.
- Review intercompany journals and payment requests in line with group policies.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Liaise with outsourced service providers (e.g., Genpact) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting services.
- Assist in coordinating statutory audits and group reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial reporting tools and processes.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including audit preparation and documentation.
- Assist in tax filings and regulatory submissions in collaboration with group tax and legal teams.
- Identify and implement improvements to strengthen the control environment and streamline accounting operations.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Proven experience in brand management within FMCG, retail, or consumer-focused Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience in financial accounting within a multinational or FMCG environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work across teams and geographies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in audit coordination and statutory reporting is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
