The Opportunity
The successful candidate will support the Accounting and Control team ensuring the integrity of financial processes and financial and management reporting for the Central Services Companies of H&N and DN. Key responsibilities include the reporting of month end and year end accounts, reporting to central planning and reporting team, balance sheet control and management of projects. This role will report to the Assistant Financial Controller primarily and several other finance stakeholders. This opportunity will offer scope for a career minded individual to progress and develop their career within the organisation
Responsibilities
- Accurate, timely preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to H&N/DN Finance, Group and Senior Management.
- Provide analysis and supporting information to assist planning, leadership and management teams in understanding Central Services companies performance and decision making.
- Assist submission weekly cash forecasts for these segments (partnering planning team)
- Support continued development and build of Health and Nutrition and Dairy Nutrition segments finance function
- Review of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations. This includes management of central working capital position for these companies.
- Pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems and processes in line with evolving business needs.
- Responsible for providing information for internal audit, external audit and tax compliance.
- Preparation of Budget/Forecast files.
- Manage the IFRS16 Lease asset module for the service companies
- Manage the Capital Expenditure process for these service companies
- Involvement in ad hoc project work.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
- Qualified accountant with 3-5 years post-qualification experience ideally in a multinational organisation or medium to large practice.
- Demonstrative ability to advise senior leaders on financial positions.
- Strong financial reporting (IAS/IFRS) background.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of ERP systems, SAP and report design would be an advantage.
