Senior BI Analyst

Supply Chain — Data Product Owner POD

Glanbia Business Services

Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life’s journey

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior BI Analyst to join Glanbia’s Data, AI and Analytics function within the Supply Chain Data Product Owner (DPO) team. This is a permanent role reporting to the Supply Chain DPO, working alongside our manufacturing, planning, logistics, procurement and customer service teams across the group.

The successful candidate will be a senior BI practitioner who is comfortable moving between plant-level operational data and customer-facing shipment and order data, and who enjoys building data products that supply chain teams will rely on day-to-day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service to gather requirements and design supply chain data products.
  • Design and maintain SAP CDS view stacks on S/4HANA covering production, inventory, batch traceability, interplant stock transfers and customer shipments, including the cross-plant model that joins our distribution network end-to-end.
  • Build and maintain SAP Datasphere models and SAC stories for stock visibility, plant performance, on-time-in-full and order-to-cash reporting.
  • Use Databricks where workloads sit better on the lakehouse — for example, integrating non-SAP data such as safety incidents (Intelex), LIMS quality data, or third-party logistics feeds.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytics for plant managers, supply chain leadership and customer service in support of operational decisions.
  • Help define and revise supply chain KPIs and the reporting layer behind them.
  • Promote good practice on data quality, documentation and reuse, in line with our data product principles and naming conventions.
  • Mentor more junior analysts in the POD and contribute to the wider DPO community

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Primary degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related quantitative subject.
  • 7+ years’ experience delivering BI solutions, with meaningful exposure to manufacturing, supply chain or logistics analytics.
  • Working knowledge of the relevant S/4HANA modules (MM, PP, SD, EWM/WM) and the underlying CDS view layer.
  • Hands-on with at least two of: SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (incl. SAC Add-In), SAP BW, SAP Analysis for Office.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and SQL on the lakehouse is a plus.
  • Experience in an S/4HANA environment is essential; familiarity with SAP Business One is a plus.
  • Comfortable with supply chain data structures — batches, materials, plants, storage locations, routes — and the way they hang together in S/4HANA.

Competencies

  • Able to take complex operational processes and document them in a way the business can follow.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage operational, commercial and IT stakeholders.
  • Practical, pragmatic approach — as comfortable on a plant floor walkthrough as on a call with a controller.
  • Self-starter, with the discipline to manage several workstreams in parallel and across geographies.
  • Solid data modelling fundamentals; experience with supply chain data structures is a plus.
