Staff Nurse Cardio-vascular Laboratory

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled nursing team who deliver the highest standard of nursing care to those attending the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. The staff nurse will play an integral role in the assessment and delivery of care with patients requiring cardiology investigations in the Cardio-vascular laboratory (CV Lab).

CV Lab is an exciting environment to develop clinical nursing skills in caring for patient’s pre/post procedure, with such cases as Percutaneous Coronary intervention (PCI), Angiograms, Trans-Catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Heart Ablations, Pace maker/ internal cardiac defibrillator insertion, as examples. Also, nursing in a multi-disciplinary setting and having a staff development facilitator to promote educational development for staff and best outcomes for patients. This is an exciting time to join the CV lab team as we expand our services with a new Cath Lab recovery area and CCU in development.
