Staff Nurse, Cardiothoracic High Dependency Unit

The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled nursing team who deliver the highest standard of nursing care to those attending the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. The staff nurse will play an integral role in the assessment, delivery and evaluation of all Cardio-Thoracic High Dependency Unit (CTHDU) care patient’s using recognized and validated tools to maintain the safety of all individual.

CTHDU is an exciting environment to develop clinical nursing skills in caring for patient’s pre/post-operative, with such cases as Heart/Lung transplants and Cardiac Thoracic surgeries like Cardiac bypass grafting, Aortic value replacement/repair, mitral valve replacement/repair as examples. Also nursing in a multi-disciplinary setting and have a staff development facilitator to promote education developments for staff and best outcomes for patients.
