Details of the Service

The persons appointed to this post will work within HSE South West working as part of multi-disciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to client care.

Services provided by Residential Services for Older Persons, Cork comprise of Continuing Care, Convalescent Care, Transitional Care, Respite Care and Palliative Care.

The client group catered for are Adults and Older Persons.

The team structure is made up of:

• Manager Residential Services for Older Persons

• Assistant Director Of Nursing (Not All Units)

• Director of Nursing

• Clinical Nurse Manager 2

• Staff Nurses

• Health Care Assistants

• Support Staff

Purpose of the Post.

The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting. The staff nurse will provide holistic, person centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for residents from a social model of care perspective.
