Staff Nurse General, Theatre

The Theatre Service is available 24/7 for elective and emergency surgeries. It caters for General, Colorectal, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Endoscopy, Cardiology and Bronchoscopy patients. This list is not finite and is regularly reviewed by the Senior Hospital Management Team in response to service needs.

Theatre Nurse rotate between the following areas: Anaesthetics, Scrub, Circulating, Recovery an Endoscopy. There are no dedicated posts in an of these areas. This is to ensure all areas can be covered safely by the on-call-team.

All staff nurse participates in the on-call roster in addition to their contracted hours. Payment for On-call duties as per the Health Sector Consolidated Salary Scales. Time off in lieu of sleep time is granted as per the European Working Time Directives.
