OVERVIEW

· Campaign Reference – RQSNIDS

· Job Title & Grade – Staff Nurse Intellectual Disability Services

· Tenure – Permanent Full Time & Part Time available

· Panel – A panel may be created from which permanent and specified purpose contract vacancies of full or part time duration may be filled.

· Hours of Work – 37.5 Hours (Full Time)/Various Hours (Part Time) – the allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Department Head and in accordance with needs of service

· Department – Nursing IDS

· Location of Post - Peamount Healthcare, Newcastle, Co. Dublin

· Working Model - Fully Onsite

· Remuneration - *€37,166 (Point 1) to €56,592 (Point 13)

· Annual Leave - As per Health Service Executive (HSE)

· Closing Date – Tuesday 28thJuly 2026

· Proposed Interview Date - To be confirmed - At least 1 weeks’ notice will be provided. Shortlisted candidates are expected to make themselves available.

· Take Up Appointment - Successful applicant(s) must be available to take up the role within a reasonable timeframe

PURPOSE OF THE POST

To provide holistic support to residents living in Peamount Healthcare Intellectual Disability Services

Point on Salary Scale

· New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale (*exceptions may apply for the below grades, provided proof of recognised service is submitted by VOS)

  • *Clinical and Therapy Grades and Staff Nurses*: Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
