Overview of the role
We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Nurses with an interest in rehabilitation to work with our team at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH). At the NRH we are committed to interdisciplinary working, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with professional colleagues providing a full range of rehabilitation services to patients. There is also an active staff education programme and supervision structure within the department designed to support staff development.
The post holder will be responsible for:
· Maintaining a high standard of patient care
· Encouraging a learning environment to develop self and each member of the nursing team
· Fostering teamwork
· Acting as an advocate for patients with a disability
· Acting up for Clinical Nurse Manager ll Day and Night Duty as required. It will be necessary for the post holder to carry a bleep while undertaking these duties.
· Rotates on all shifts of duty as required including night duty rotation
· Rotates to all clinical areas, if required by the Director of Nursing or his/her Deputy

Qualifications and Knowledge/Experience/Skills
The candidate on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office must have:
· Registration on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
· Have a minimum of 2 years relevant post registration nursing experience.
· Proven clinical and professional ability, communication and organisation skills.
· Display evidence of continuing professional development.
The appointment arising from this panel may be permanent or temporary, full-time or part-time, and pensionable, within the Nursing Department. Salary for this post is aligned with HSE Staff Nurse (General) PayScale.
