We are recruiting for Social Care Workers & Staff Nurses to join us in our Laois Residential Services. The successful candidates will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing. Our wide variety of services provide full time residential support to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities/autism in both individualized and group settings.

Requirements:

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications), Please note social care candidates must be registered with CORU or provide confirmation from CORU that they have commenced the process of registration.
• Nursing Qualification (RNID/General/Mental Health – NMBI registered)
• A valid Full Licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland;
• Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and/or supporting individuals with visual/hearing loss is highly desirable;
• Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage;
• Suitability as outlined in the job description and person specification.

Please note that the successful candidates will be required to be available for any of day, weekend, waking night duty and ‘sleep-over / over-night’ shifts. In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents’ homes.
