Staff Psychologist In Neurology
Purpose of the Role
The post holder will provide a psychological service to children and families attending for services across a number of areas within CHI. This may include but is not limited to General Paediatrics, Neurology, Neurodevelopment/Neurodisability.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a recognised University degree or diploma obtained with first or second class honours in which psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject or hold a recognised qualification equivalent to above
And
- Hold a relevant post-graduate professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Or
- Hold a postgraduate professional psychology qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children. Applicants should refer to the Dept. of Health & Children regulations on the Employment of Psychologists in the Health Services, as well as, the PSI Guidelines on Post Graduate Training & Qualifications.
- Experience of psychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature.
