Store Manager

We are seeking to recruit an energetic Store Manager for our client, an iconic Fashion Retailer based in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an exciting and fast-pasted environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily management of the store.

This is a permanent role, offering a competitive salary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of shop floor management and the daily operations of the store and online store.
  • Maximising store profits by pushing and increasing sales where possible as well as controlling costs and loss prevention measures. 
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring and managing staff.
  • Creating staff rosters. 
  • Training new employees and providing ongoing training and development for staff members.
  • Cash management duties.
  • Ensuring high-quality customer service, at all times, both in store and online. 
  • To delegate and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Achieving KPI's & Targets by setting criteria for staff, training, motivating and mentoring the team.
  • Ensuring the store is merchandised in a customer-friendly and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines. 
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays in line with the Company’s merchandising standards. 
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Maintain relevant admin systems
  • Assist the Managing Director with other ad hoc duties

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Store Manager in a busy fashion store. 
  • Strong understanding of retail management KPI’s and the ability to meet and exceed these targets. 
  • Strong leadership skills and experience with motivating & leading a successful team.
  • Knowledge of Retail IT and admin systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and in building good relationships with customers, the team and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Experience of recruiting, training, and developing staff.
  • Energetic & motivated. 
  • Strong work ethic and drive for success 
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Passionate about fashion and retail
