Store Trainer

Maxi Zoo Ireland is seeking a Store Trainer to support the delivery of EJC Stacker Training across our store network.
This is a Part-Time role (Specified Purpose Contract) and will commense in November 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver practical and theory-based training, promote safe working practices, and provide administrative support to the Learning & Development team. While the role will be primarily based in our Naas store, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to other stores within the region as required to deliver training and support Learning & Development initiatives.

An EJC Stacker Instructor qualification is desirable; however, external instructor training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver EJC stacker training to colleagues in stores.
• Assess trainee competency and maintain training records.
• Promote safe working practices and compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate training schedules with Store Managers and the Learning & Development team.
• Provide Learning & Development administration support, including record keeping, reporting, scheduling and maintaining training documentation.

Working Hours

• 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday across 3 days.
• Training will typically be delivered in 8-hour training days.
• Any remaining contracted hours will be used to support Learning & Development administration activities.

Requirements

Essential

• Experience in Learning & Development, training, coaching or a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
• Willingness to travel within the region and attend Head office in Cork as required.
• Comfortable lifting and handling equipment or products up to 20kg.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Desirable

• EJC Stacker Instructor qualification or similar certification.
• Train the Trainer qualification.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, logistics or operational training environments.

• The salary for this specified purpose contract is €20,000 per annum, based on a 20-hour working week. This is pro-rated from the full-time equivalent salary of €40,000 per annum based on a 40-hour working week.
