Storeperson/ HGV Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking to recruit a HGV Store Person who is familiar with the broad range of activities required in the stores area including, Trailer Shunting, Container Shunting, Material loading and unloading, Materials Receipt, Materials Transfer, as well as Product Picking and Shipping. The successful candidate will need to be able to work closely with the Planning and Production groups to ensure efficient operations. The Store person will have responsibility for moving product between stores and sites.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Previous experience working in a similar role and holding a current forklift licence would be considered as an advantage but is not essential.
• Possession of an in date HGV Licence is essential.
• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all health & safety requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the correct use of specified PPE and good manufacturing practice standards.
• Ensuring Vehicle checks are carried out daily.
• Inform transport company of any defects to Tractor and Trailer Units.
• Maintaining a safe driving culture between ProAmpac sites.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all material and product transactions.
• Must be available for monthly stock take, first of every month.
• Ensuring all paperwork is correct and goods received are in good order, assisting admin staff to ensure that accurate stocks are held on site.
• Ensure that customer orders are despatched accurately and on time. Load these orders onto the relevant vehicles in a safe and responsible manner to ensure that deliveries are made to the customer on a right first-time basis.
• Ensure a FIFO stock rotation system is operated, keep the stores in a clean and safe working condition and store goods in the right location.

• Conduct all work and compose oneself in accordance with Company Health & Safety, Quality, Housekeeping and Conduct Standards.
• Ensure all requirements of accredited bodies including, BRCGS / ISO / FSC / PEFC & FSAI, are adhered to as a routine part of the production process.
• Operate forklift trucks for loading and unloading goods and storing in racking. Undertake any training required that relates to the driving of FLT’s and HGVs.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks.
