Strategic Development Manager

Purpose and Function of Post

• To lead and have a strategic business focus for services within the remit of the post and contribute to the wider development of the department in a way that maximises effectiveness and efficiency and delivers on the outputs of agreed service and departmental plans.
• Assist with the development and implementation of policy in line with the Councils Corporate Plan and the Mid Ulster Community Plan
• To lead and actively participate in cross-organisational change programmes, actively promoting collaboration with both internal and external partners and stakeholders for the Directorate.
• To deputise for the Assistant Director for both planned and unplanned absence from the service.
• To be an active member of the Department’s leadership team participating in the ongoing strategic development of the organisation.

Based at Dungannon or Magherafelt (may be required to work across all Mid Ulster District Council sites)

The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay.
