Studio Stylist and Shoot Coordinator
The role
We are looking for a highly visual, organised and hands-on Studio Stylist and Shoot Coordinator to bring furniture and interiors to life across our platforms. This role combines two closely connected areas: styling aspirational room sets and product stories, and coordinating the people, products, props and schedules that keep the studio running smoothly.
It would particularly suit an experienced visual merchandiser, interiors stylist or creative display specialist who understands how composition, colour, scale and detail shape the way customers see a product. Retail visual-merchandising experience is highly relevant; the key difference is that you will style for the camera, styling each set for framing, lighting, movement and the needs of different content channels.
- Creative styling
- Studio and shoot coordination
- Create considered, camera-ready room sets that express the brand and make each product desirable.
- Own the practical detail behind each shoot so the right products, people and spaces are ready at the right time.
What you will do:
Style room sets and product stories
· Translate campaign briefs, product priorities and brand direction into distinctive room sets and visual stories for photography and video.
· Select and layer furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories, artwork and props to create balanced, believable and aspirational interiors.
· Apply strong visual-merchandising principles including colour, proportion, scale, focal points, product hierarchy and customer flow to every composition.
· Style specifically for the camera, considering crop, angle, lighting, depth, movement and continuity rather than relying solely on how a set appears in person.
· Adapt styling for e-commerce, campaign, social media, video and print while maintaining a consistent and recognisable brand aesthetic.
· Show product features, benefits and versatility clearly, developing different looks for relevant customer profiles and occasions.
· Make confident, hands-on refinements throughout a shoot, from furniture placement and fabric dressing to final prop and accessory details.
· Contribute visual references, set concepts, prop ideas and styling solutions during pre-production planning.
· Review imagery during and after production and provide constructive styling input to help ensure the final content meets the brief.
· Stay informed about interiors, visual merchandising, retail and content trends, applying ideas selectively in a way that feels relevant to the brand.
Coordinate the studio and shoots
· Plan and maintain daily and weekly studio schedules, balancing campaign deadlines, product priorities and team capacity.
· Coordinate in-studio and on-location shoots from preparation through wrap, ensuring briefs, products, props and practical requirements are in place.
· Liaise with Marketing, Purchasing, Visual Merchandising and other teams on product availability, stock transfers, shoot lists and changing priorities.
· Track furniture, accessories, props and consumables accurately, ensuring all items are accounted for before and after each shoot.
· Keep the studio, prop areas and working spaces organised, safe and shoot-ready.
· Use clear checklists and production notes to follow actions through and flag risks or delays early.
· Support the physical set-up, reset and breakdown of room sets, working collaboratively with the wider studio team.
What we are looking for
· Relevant experience in visual merchandising, interiors styling, set styling, retail display or a comparable creative environment. Furniture or home-interiors experience would be a strong advantage.
· A strong visual eye, with a clear understanding of composition, colour, scale, texture, balance and the finishing details that elevate a set.
· The ability to translate a commercial brief into styling that is both inspiring and product-focused.
· A practical, hands-on approach and confidence moving, arranging and dressing furniture and props as part of a collaborative team.
· Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to coordinate several shoots, products and deadlines at once.
· Clear communication and a collaborative working style across creative, marketing, buying and operational teams.
· Good judgement under pressure, with the flexibility to solve problems and adjust plans when products, timings or briefs change.
· A portfolio, visual examples or photographs of displays, room sets or styling work would be welcomed. Professional studio experience is desirable but not essential where the candidate has strong transferable visual-merchandising experience.
What success looks like
· Room sets feel aspirational, commercially effective and consistently on brand.
· Products are presented accurately and at their best across photography and video.
· Shoots are well prepared, efficient and delivered to schedule.
· Studio stock, props and working areas are organised and reliably managed.
· Creative ideas are balanced with practical ownership and strong follow-through.
