Remuneration is in accordance with the salary scale approved by the Department of Health:

Current salary scale with effect from 1st March 2025: [Grade, 0574] and rising annually in increments: €56,757; €58,110; €59,761; €62,862; €64,716; €67,025; €69,341 LSIs (pro-rata for part-time/temporary roles)

Key Working Relationships The post holder will work closely with: • The CHI Pensions Manager and members of the Superannuation team • HR Services (HR Business Partners, HR Business Services, Recruitment, HRIS) • Payroll Services • Finance Department • HSE Pensions Management • HSE National bodies e.g. National HR • Other internal and external stakeholders Please note that this list is not exhaustive and key working relationships will change as the project moves from service development, construction completion, commissioning & transitioning to steady state. Purpose of the Role The post holder will have the responsibility for ensuring the efficient delivery of CHI Superannuation services as a member of Pension Department’s s team. The post holder will support the Pensions Manager in the delivery of a quality driven and compliant service. The post holder will support the Pensions Manager around the areas of change management. Deputise for the Pensions Manager as required. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Professional Duties and Responsibilities: Service Delivery • Ensure the administration and delivery of a comprehensive and efficient Superannuation Service. • Be familiar with the implementation of all relevant circulars issued by the Department of Health & Children and Department of Public Expenditure and Reform that apply to Superannuation matters, regarding VHSS Scheme, SPSPS, Superannuation Schemes and the Ex-Gratia Schemes. • Respond to and manage all correspondence regarding Superannuation issues from employees, employers, external agencies etc. in relation to all current and former members of staff. • Advise all employees of their Superannuation entitlements and deal with their queries. • Ensure that applications are managed and processed appropriately linking with the relevant hospital departments e.g. Occupational Health, Finance, Human Resources Services. • Manage and respond to queries in relation to the purchase of previous service e.g. obtain costings, notification to the Payroll department etc. • Liaise with the Human Resource Services (e.g. Payroll, Business Services, Business Partners) and Finance Departments as required in relation to Superannuation issues. • Provide departmental related reports as required to support CHI corporate and departmental updates.

Quality of Service and Accountability • Ensure that information and updates relating to Superannuation entitlements are communicated to staff and management as appropriate. • Attend educational seminars and courses appropriate to the job on the request of the Superannuation Manager to keep abreast of changes and new processes/benefits/other related matters introduced by DPER associated with SPSPS. • Participation at induction days to give new employees an introduction to the pension scheme that they will be contributing to. • Be familiar with Data Protection and Information Governance regulations and GDPR • Liaise with the Human resource services ensuring that staff records are maintained and stored appropriately (hard copies and electronic) and in accordance with Data Protection guidelines. • The post holder will be required to work within the framework of CHI values and be child-centered, compassionate, progressive and will act with respect, excellence and integrity. • Demonstrate on-going delivery of a quality driven service. • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Pensions Manager.

Leadership and Management • Provide a range of line management responsibilities to Superannuation team members as assigned by the Pensions Manager. • Prioritise, co-ordinate and supervise day to day team workload and ensure deadlines are met. • Contribute to and support change management initiatives as part of the development of services and as part of service integration. • Training of staff in the department in the processes to be followed for each scheme type and promote development and learning. • Represent the Superannuation department as required by the Superannuation Manager.

Eligibility criteria, qualifications and experience Essential Criteria: • Hold a professional qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrate an equivalent level of experience working in a public service pensions environment • Have a minimum of four years relevant experience (HR/Finance/Payroll) with minimum three years in Superannuation. • Minimum of one year Supervisory Management experience. • Have excellent Microsoft Office skills particularly in the use of Excel • Experience working with HR and Payroll Systems

Desirable Criteria: • Have previous experience in administering Public Service Pension scheme(s) or other pension schemes • Experience working in a Health Service environment • Hold a post graduate payroll, HR or Business Qualification • Have experience working with SAP Finance/HR systems and/or MegaHR/MegaPay
