Supervisor
Job Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day Micro Fulfilment Centre operations across inbound, inventory, picking, packing, dispatch, and automation. The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient execution of activities in line with SLAs, while driving team performance, operational compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
- Supervise, coach, and motivate teams to achieve performance, quality, and safety targets
- Allocate labour effectively across all operational areas
- Lead daily briefings, shift handovers, and performance reviews
- Support training, onboarding, and cross-skilling
- Manage attendance, conduct, and performance
- Promote a positive, safety-first culture
E-Commerce Fulfilment Operations
- Oversee end-to-end order fulfilment
- Ensure SLA, productivity, and accuracy targets are met
- Manage workload during peak periods
- Maintain high standards of quality and customer presentation
Goods In & Inventory Control
- Oversee inbound receipt, checking, and put-away
- Ensure inventory accuracy and control processes are followed
- Support cycle counts, investigations, and reconciliations
- Monitor stock availability and replenishment
- Investigate discrepancies and support corrective actions
Packing, Sorting & Dispatch
- Ensure packing meets customer and carrier requirements
- Monitor sortation and dispatch efficiency
- Ensure orders are dispatched in line with schedules
- Support issue resolution relating to service and quality
Automation & Systems
- Oversee safe operation of automation and equipment
- Escalate and support resolution of system issues
- Ensure team compliance with system and equipment usage
- Support recovery and continuity processes
Systems & Reporting
- Ensure accurate use of WMS/OMS systems
- Manage workflow in line with priorities and SLAs
- Investigate order issues (missing, delayed, damaged)
- Produce and communicate performance reports
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Supervisory experience in warehouse, logistics, or e-commerce operations
- Strong understanding of fulfilment, inventory, and dispatch processes
- Experience working with WMS, OMS, or ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage performance against SLAs and KPIs
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts

- Conduct inspections and support incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and audit requirements
- Maintain audit-ready and well-organised operational areas
Skills & Experience
- Leadership experience in warehouse or fulfilment environments
- Strong operational knowledge (inbound, picking, packing, dispatch)
- Experience managing KPIs, productivity, and team performance
- Familiarity with automation systems (desirable)
- Experience with WMS/OMS/ERP platforms
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience implementing corrective actions and improvements
- MHE licences (desirable)
