We are seeking a highly motivated individual with previous experience working as a Supply Chain Consultant within a multinational to join our Supply Chain Management Department. The Supply Chain Consultant will unlock the power of processes and data to drive better decision-making, help increase efficiencies, and give us a competitive advantage. This individual will report to the Supply Chain Assortment Manager.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and report on all relevant project and department KPIs (e.g., Supplier fulfilment [On Time and In Full], Write-offs/Wastage, Warehouse Missing Items, etc.)
  • Lead Insights & Innovation – identify new opportunities to accelerate company growth and reduce costs
  • Support Regional Supply Chain teams in dealings with key Head Office departments
  • Coordinate new listings in conjunction with Buying and Layout Management
  • Monitor assortment performance across all areas and take corrective action as needed. Lead the effort with Purchasing to reduce write-offs across the assortment. Analyse and report on KPIs, including missing items
  • Provide forecasts for new and existing assortment lines. Coordinate with the Layout Management and DSS teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to stores
  • Develop and update department handbooks
  • Manage projects related to the above and other associated areas

What you'll need

  • Ability to create and work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (Essential)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to integrate into and work as part of an established team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence senior management to obtain results and instigate change
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work to strict deadlines and adapt quickly to new situations
  • Action-oriented individual with the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment
  • Confidence to take daily challenges and work on own initiative
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Sales or Supply Chain experience beneficial but not essential

What you'll receive

Through our salary system, we ensure pay equality across all positions at Lidl

  • €49,500 rising to €63,000 after 3 years
  • 20 days holidays per annum rising to 25 days after two years
