SUPPORT (CHILDCARE) WORKER

Monday to Friday

Two-Year Fixed Term Contract

25 Hours per week

Lir is a well-established preschool where children with addition and complex needs attend for sessional care. We are looking for a dynamic person who has genuine interest in education and care for children with higher needs. If you are willing to be committed, share your knowledge while also willing to learn, we would like to meet you. We require a person who is kind, caring reliable, flexible, motivated with good communication skills who is fun loving and will make a difference in our children’s lives.

Essential Requirements:

· FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Childcare / Early Childcare and Education (Level 6 desirable)

· Other DCEDIY Early years recognised qualification will be considered (check website for details)

· Experience of working with children with Intellectual Disability

· Excellent communication skills

· Enthusiastic, energetic and a team player

· A Full Current Manual licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.

· Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role

Desirable Requirements:

· FAR training completed
